Posted by sajid aziz on March 8, 2025 at 7:56 pmwhy do we punish murderers?
if time of death is specified by Allah then why do we punish murderers? they person who got murdered who have died anyway?
also i have heard ghamidi sahab said Natural disasters are to remind people death. then why do we consider terrorists bad people? they constantly remind us death?

Dr. Irfan Shahzad
Scholar March 10, 2025 at 8:57 amThe time of death is in the knowledge of Allah. His knowledge does not make it happen.
Anything or anyone who reminds us of death makes us conscious that we are going to die one day and meet our Lord. It does not mean that things are not bad in their effects.

No. time is written and no one can delay or advance it. So why can’t a murderer use the argument that his time was up he would have died anyway.

“Ge delays them” idk the quran never means what it actually means according to you.
Allah says he delays them for an appointed time but apparently he has no influence according to you? he can’t delay them, that’s what you saying?

Scholar March 12, 2025 at 8:07 amThis is about nations. When their time comes, they are destroyed after being given ample time to reconsider their behaviour against Haq. However, individuals are left to the factors of cause and effect. They die the ways they die. People have been made responsible for their actions.

But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do. (63:11).
what about these. Allah is stating clearly that a time is determined for every soul? and who won’t delay it when it comes?

al imran 154.

Scholar March 15, 2025 at 4:50 amAs already stated, the appointed time of death is in the knowledge of God; it does not mean that God appointed that time for the deceased. This all is running with His permission because He created all these possibilities.

Member March 15, 2025 at 10:34 amwhat I don’t understand here is the Quran states “those decreed to be killed would’ve come out to their death beds” meaning if their time was up they would have died anyway. so similarly we can say this too ,” if their time was not up, they wouldn’t die.
