Zakat On Mutual Fund Investment
I have some investment in mutual funds. I understand I am obligated to pay 10% zakat on income from mutual funds. Do I have the obligation to pay 2.5% Zakat on the amount invested in mutual funds (Principal amount) too in addition to 10% on income from mutual funds.

Yes. You have to pay the zakat on savings separately.
