Is Karbala A Mere Fiction?
I’ve read the book Karbala: a fact or fiction by Dr Shabbir where he has raised interesting questions on Authority of narrated Hadees by Tibri.
He says Karbala is mere a fiction created for political propaganda to throw Ummayad dynasty and Abbasid’s take over.
After reading this book I’m convinced that this karbala incident is a fiction, if not! Does gamdi sb. Has answer to this question? Or can anyone from here write an answer to this book. History transmits through generations to generations in the form of established history and the other form is individual reporting.
Established history narrates mega events whose occurrence is out of question like the building of Taj Mahal at the behest of Shah Janab or the murder of Julius Caesar.
Individual reporting, on the other hands is about micro events or sayings of people. They are subject to doubt and invite investigations to prove them.
The event of karbala is an established history. Further, there are numerous events associated with it which came out as its consequences. If one dares to deny an established fact one has to go on a long journey of speculation to justify the associated events too.
It is a not an academic approach to question establish historical facts.
