Why Prophet Muhammad Not Followed Any Religion Before Islam?
Assalamualaikum,
The idea to believe in one God doesn’t not comes from any book. It is within self. Through logical reasoning, A person can come to conclusion of one God even if he is in remote regions.
Next, a person thinks, is there any messages of God? Like we do, so out of all religious, currently Quran makes most sense.
Just like that, Why prophet Muhammad didn’t researched and followed any religion? You can argued that Christianity may be not in true form. But there are evidences that there may still b groups who followed the true teaching of Bible.
Even Khadija first cousin, Warqa ibn Nawful, was monotheistic Christian, so he was follower of true Christianity. Why Muhammad didn’t tried to follow any true religion based on their available religion resources?

The prophet followed the religion of his forefather Ibrahim. The prophet was in the line of the prophet Ismail who was the son of Ibrahim. He was monotheist and did not follow the polytheistic beliefs and practices of his people who had distorted the religion of Ibrahim. But this religion was without necessary details which were provided to him by God and he revived the religion of Ibrahim.

So If I born in Lahore and follow one God and don’t worship idols, I am following Religion of Abraham.
Don’t I need to follow any religion Islam?, If I need to follow Islam which is best religion of my times, Why prophet Muhammad didn’t followed the best the religion at their times? That was monotheistic Christianity.

The Religion has always been the one, that is Islam. All the Prophets bright the same religion. The prophet Muhammad revived the same religion with all the necessary details.
