Why did Abraham want to sacrifice his son? Did he believe that by doing this would earn God’s pleasure, and disobedience would bring punishment? Does this imply that Muslims are willing to do anything — even slaughter their own child — for paradise or divine approval? Could it mean that if good deeds led to hell and evil deeds led to paradise, Muslims would choose accordingly? Also Allah didn’t tell that what he did was wrong and should’ve corrected him. Instead he seems happy from abraham apparently. This raises serious ethical and theological questions.

This video didn’t addressed my question. My question is Why was Abraham willing to sacrifice his son? And why was Allah happy with Abraham?

And why didn’t Allah corrected Abraham that what he did was wrong?

Was seeking the pleasure of God more imp to Abraham than being virtuous and standing up for his son?

If wrong things lead to heaven? what are we suppose to do

God demands complete submission from His people. His commands are to be obeyed without hesitation. God tests His people to judge if they are truly submissive to God. Abraham was tested that way; others are tested in other ways. For example, God demanded the Muslims to fight in His way to raise His word and and they did.

The ethical standards do not apply to God here. God has the power to give death to anyone, and He does. He makes people die. So if He demanded Abraham to end his son’s life, he was ready to comply. We know that God has the power to compensate this sacrifice with manifold rewards. Therefore, when it comes to God, it is different.
