Inheritance To Grandchildren
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,
The question is: If a woman passes away before her father, does her child (i.e., the grandchild of the father) have any right to inherit from the grandfather’s estate?
If not, what is the legal and rational reasoning behind it in Islamic law?
Please guide in light of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
