A house is a basic necessity. When you have extra savings, you can go for the Hajj.

Thanks Dr. sb, Can you please give me some reference(s) from Quran and Hadith in support of your basic necessity concept with regard to Hajj?

Deen does not oblige one to ignore one’s basic needs. Deen is easy. God says in the Quran
يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ
So, you can fulfil your needs and then go for Hajj. If you choose to go for Hajj instead of fulfilling this kind of need, then it is your choice, and you are allowed to make it.
