    The Nature Of Sunnah As Obligatory Or Optional

    Are all the sunnahs stated in Meezan of an obligatory nature as in will I sin if I do not do them. For example; I don’t say Yarhamukallah when someone sneezes, is that sinful? What if one forgets to use right hand while drinking sometimes? Will being careless with sunnahs of these smaller nature incur minor sins ?

    Among these Sunnah, some are fard like Salah, Hajj, Zakat (subject to some conditions) and some are mustahab (nafal with emphasis or recommended) like matters of customs and etiquettes & Qurbaani (animal sacrifice) etc.

    Intentional violation of an emphatic or recommended Sunnah at best can result in a minor sin.
