    Salam,

    I was asking about the Gold loans ( the worth of the gold is offered as loan but there is a markup) offered by pakistani banks nowadays, Is it permissible to start a buisness?

    I’m not sure what do you mean by markup here. But gold can be used as a basis for loan in order to counter inflation/time value of money.

    by markup i mean that i will pay more than the amount given to me based on the gold i provide as security after a year

      If the basis of payment is Gold value then it is not interest, whether higher or lower than the principal amount.
