Arabic Tajweed While Reciting Quran In Salah
Assalamu Alaikum, are heavy and light letters in Arabic a part of the tajweed that is mandatory to recite Quran, in Salah or while reading Quran itself? What if the letterI’m pronouncing is understood. JazakAllahu Khairan.

For non-Arabic people, it is difficult to pronounce the letters with the Arabic accent. Therefore, they can recite in their own accent. Different people had been becoming Muslims all through history, but they were not asked to copy the Arabic accent.
