Salah While Sitting
Assalamu Alaikum, I have heard ghamidis view on praying while sitting in the car but I have also heard other people’s views and the majority says that we can not do this because praying while standing is fard and facing the Qibla is also fard in islam and Salah isn’t valid if this is not done. Could you please clarify ghamidis view as in 2:239 in Quran, this verse says “And if you fear (an enemy, then pray) on foot or riding.” Isn’t this verse referring to one who is fighting? If one wants to go out with their family and they do this often but they are not able to pray on the road and don’t want to pray in shops due to some people being hesitant in allowing or judgemental,what should they do? Please provide evidence, JazakAllahu Khairan (sorry for the long question I don’t understand)

The short prayer of travelling was also initiated for fear. The prophet then extended it to travelling.
The concession was allowed not just for fear but because of the unrest that is found in the situation of fear, too. Wherever this unrest is found, the concession will be given.
