Further Questions On Non Muslims Living In The Jazirat Al-Arab/Arabian Peninsula
I asked a question on non Muslims permanently living in the Arabian Peninsula and an article written by Muhammad Hassan Ilyas sahib was provided to me in the comments.
In that article he brought up two argument, one that says only Hijaz region is to be reserved for Muslims and the other argument that is the entire Arabian Peninsula (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain) is to be reserved for Muslims. His conclusion in the article was that the later argument is the correct one, the entire Arabian Peninsula is to be reserved for Muslims.
My questions are
- What if the rulers of those countries accept the other opinion as the correct one? Isn’t it possible that the rulers and many scholars of UAE believe only Hijaz is to be reserved for Muslims and that is why they allow the Temples and other religious worshipping places to be built there? Even if you believe that opinion is wrong, they may find it correct and hold onto that opinion. How should it be viewed if this is the case?
- If we accept that the entire Arabian Peninsula is to be reserved only for Muslims then what is the solution for all the non Muslims who have already become permanent residents of UAE and other gulf countries?
