My parents made me a year younger in my birth certificate and now all my official documents have that age ( which are alot- marriage, licences, olevel, alevel and graduate and even post graduate applications- basically my entire life). I feel pretty guilty when I have to type it in the system but ,to my knowledge, I have not benefited from it or intend to. Unless it’s official business, I try to tell my real age and where it could make an actual difference, I explain the situation ( like to my husband before marriage). Do these lies affect my moral being. Should I try to correct it? I don’t think I can correct it tbh, not without proving myself or my parents liers on multiple documents …. But like maybe still not… how to correct my entire living record? Are my parents bearing the sin of it every time I lie , or is it on me , I really haven’t benefited from it. Will this continuous inconsequential lie affect either of us.
