wudu is a part of ibrahimic tradition and was already prevalent in arab society and thus is sunnah…

It is said that the existing structure of wudu in itself is not a sunnah but a combinations of acts what came into being once the prophet Muhammad acted on the tradition of wudu…

My question is ….is the wudu in its existing form as prescribed by prophet Muhammad a sunnah…or the existing acts of wudu are just “keefiyaat” of how prophet Muhammad followed or acted upon the sunnah of wudu…

Is it necessary to follow the pattern as described in hadees or simple washing parts including in wudu will validate the wudu..

Sunnah of the prophets or Sunnah of Ibrahim was mostly distorted, which the holy prophet revived. Then it became the practice of the whole community of the companions and became a consensus and perpetual.

Wudu was revived by the Prophet. The Quran at one point discusses and tells that there are only four parts to be washed. The prophet did it in the best form. He washed every part two or three times and included cleansing of the mouth and nose, as they are teh part of face. Therefore, the Ummah always knows what is compulsory and what are the optional parts of wudu.
