Marriage Of An Unsound Mind Person
My nephew is 25 years old. In his childhood he got epilepsy fits which effected his mental health. He cannot perform his basic task himself and is unable to perform marital affair or cannot earn to feed his wife. Is such person marriage is valid? When his condition is known to girl or her parents.

This is an ethical matter of common sense. Marriage is a serious commitment; not only does a wife need an independent husband who can take care of her, but children also need a father who can provide for and protect them.
If the concern is the young man’s sexual impulses, the family should focus on appropriate guidance, support, and—if necessary—safe, ethical medical or psychological options recommended by professionals.

No its not about the sexual impulses of boy but it is a concern of his parents to have somebody who can look after him. I completely agree that it is not ethical rather cruel to find a needy family and get proposal. But people here hardly differentiate between ethical and unethical when its about their interest. Finance is not a problem since they are rich. Thats y i have asked if such marriage if happen is legal or valud in shariah.

If a such a marriage takes place it is still a marriage but unethical one.
They can arrange a nurse to take care of him.

To my surprise such marriages are allowed in islam. Unfortunate. When any contract entered by a person of unsound mind is nit valid then how come a marriage contract. An be? The boy cannot fulfill any obligation or responsibility associated with marriage but still he can get married??? What an irony

It is not about Islam. The law of the land decides whether a marriage is valid or not. It is a matter of discretion. If it is a dispute then the court will decide.
