Is Suicide During War Considered Shahdah?
“I want to ask you this: In war, if someone commits suicide—for example, he ties a bomb to himself and goes under a tank, or he enters the enemy battalion and blows himself up, or a pilot flies an aircraft with bombs and intentionally crashes it into the enemy’s military area, fully knowing that he will die—will such a person be considered a martyr (shahadat) or not?”
According to the Qur’an and Hadith, we understand that a person should not destroy himself nor inflict harm on his own body. So based on that, it would not be considered martyrdom. But I would like to ask Ghamidi Sahib what his position is on this matter.”

Fundamentally, it is nothing different from putting oneself in danger to fight against the enemies, if the cause is just and the fight is justified. In wartime, if necessary, suicide attacks can be made.
