I want to know if i buy a product of 100 rupees and its selling price is fixed lets say 500 ruppees.

But my way of selling is that if get 20 or 30 ruppes profit i sell them.

This is because i dont sell to end consumer i act as wholesaler and sell the product to the retailer.

Let’s say i sell at a price of 350 to the retailer and make a profit of 250 as my original buying price is 100 and afterwards retailer sold it at 500 and make a profit of 150 ruppee.

Now the question is lets say i have a stock Remaining of that particular product.

So how can i calculate zakat on the product is zakat is calculated on 100 ruppee or 500 ruppee of each product or by another method?

    I am confused…

The value of your unsold stock is what you have paid for it. Zakat will be applied to it. The profit you earned will be added to your overall assets.

So in this case i will have to pay zakat on my purchasing amount which is 100 ruppee in above-mentioned example?

Also the general ruling is also the same

We will have to pay zakat on our purchasing pricing not on the retail price of unsold items present in our stock?

    Waiting for your response…

    The general ruling is that

I will have to pay zakat on my purchasing amount of the product not on the selling price or retail price of the product which is unsold and present in my stock.

    Am i correct?
