As we know, whatever a human being is depends on countless factors beyond our control. Feelings of love and respect, or hate or disrespect for a personality arise naturally but when one thinks while accounting for all these factors—and considers that there must be countless influences behind outcomes, many of which are beyond our awareness and outside our reach—then giving full credit or full blame is no longer possible. In that case, one cannot definitively regard someone as better or worse than another. On the surface we can figure out who is good, who is bad, who is better or not better; outwardly we can make such judgments, as per our limited knowledge of the factors, so that we can make decisions and move forward, but to know it with certainty and in entirety is not possible. Hence full credit and full blame seems impossible; something only Allah can decide. Therefore, a sense of certain respect for every human being remains intact, no matter how good or bad they are.

So, is this way of thinking correct?

To some extent, it is valid, but we see that the bad or wrong one does to others, does not like to be done to him. This is the litmus test to judge a bad done by someone as bad.

Even in such cases, we get an idea of who’s wrong or bad, but surely we can’t take it to the level of declaration. Right?

In some cases, the wrongdoer has some valid excuse. Then you avoid calling him bad.
