About Sutra While Praying
Is using a sutra obligatory ? I use to believe that the praying mat is sort of a sutra as it’s a clear demarcation of where the praying area of the prayer ends. However I’m not sure as I have learned sutra has to be on the taller side (32cm). Please clear misconceptions about this @Irfan76 sir. Specifically of prayer mat could act as a sutra?

It is just an indication for the people not to pass through the space of your offering prayer. It is not obligatory, but an administrative measure. Anything visible can be used for it. There is no specification in the religion for this. Deen is simple; one should not complicate it with unnecessary specifications.
