Zakat On Student Maintenance Allowance
Dear Sir,
I am a PhD student in Saudi Arabia and studying on scholarship that provides me with a monthly stipend of 5000 SAR for my living expenses. This is not a salary amount but is a tax free living allowance paid to me as a student of the university. So will this amount be legible for zakat ?

I would also like to ask an additional question to it which is that from this stipend if amount stays in my account after my spendings after the month and for instance if that amount which is left in my account is more than the nisab of zakat will I have to pay 2.5% zakat on that amount after an year ?
