Imam Mahdi Or Dajjal From Khurasan
I recently read part of the “alamat e qayamat” series of articles by Ghamidi sb.
The most curious thing I found was the hadith mentioning that Dajjal would come from the land of Khurasan.This location sticks out particularly as it is described in other ahadith as the land where black standards will come from with the Hidayat yafta imam being among them.
I have watched the episodes of 23 aitrazat about imam mahdi and am in agreement with Ghamidi sahab.My main question is are these ahadith created by any error in transmission or confusion? Where the transmitters may have confused these different figures.
I also fear that if these ahadith are true it may cause fitna as people may misidentify the dajjal as mahdi (or vice versa)

The people created a whole new narrative from the Ahadith of a Generous and just Khaliph, confused it with the words Mehdi, which was one of his attributes, and then fabricated new Ahadith about Mehdi and created a new character.

Yes, I am aware of that.
But I’m confused as to how that answers the question of why there seem to be two narratives in the narrations.
Both of them quite similar, one mentioning a malevolent leader another a righteous leader. Both emerging near the end of time from the same region.
Is it that if we take the ahadith about mahdi to be prophesying the rule of Syedna Muaviah, then does it follow that narrators confused the Dajjal hadith and merged it with the later prevalent idea of mahdi figure?

To my knowledge there is no authentic hadith that says a righteous leader will emerge from Khurasan.
