“In the Qur’an (Surah Al-Haqqa 69:44–46), it says that if Prophet Muhammad had fabricated revelation, Allah would cut off his aorta. But in Sahih al-Bukhari 4428, the Prophet says during his final illness that he feels as if his aorta is being cut due to the poison from Khaybar. So how do Muslims reconcile this — doesn’t this seem like the Qur’anic warning actually happened?”

Allah did not cut it off. If he had done so, He would have made it exemplary. Instead, He announced the return of the prophet from the world after his mission on the earth was accomplished. What the holy Prophet is reported to have said was his guess.

Allah announced in the Quran that the Prophet had accomplished his mission and he was going to die to meet his Lord. So, it was not a death with the displeasure of God, but God was pleased with him when He decided to end his life. See the Suran Al Nasr:
