Gratitude Vs. Credit
I have been reflecting on my life and I realize that many of the major factors that contributed to my success were outside my control, such as being born into a loving and supportive family, having access to quality education, growing up in a safe country, and being guided by religion which helped me avoid harmful paths and improve myself.
Given that these advantages play such a significant role, to what extent can a person truly take credit for their achievements?
How should one balance between acknowledging Allah’s blessings and recognizing their own effort, without falling into arrogance on one hand or completely dismissing personal responsibility on the other?
