Major And Minor Sins
We know the what the major sins are, but Allah also mentions the minor misdeeds that will be overlooked if our slate is clean from the major sins. My question is, what are those minor sins? Are they mentioned in the Quran?
My natural instinct would be to assume that every prohibition in the Quran is a major deal, and as far as hadith is concerned, given its authenticity, it would also be treated as a major deed.
what kind of acts are being referred to when said minor misdeeds?

It is incorrect assumption about mentioning of the sins in the Qur’an and hadith. A major or a minor sin can be mentioned in either of them.
It is the intensity of sin that makes a sin major. The major sins are Murder, adultery, shirk, usurping someone’s property.
The measure that lead to major sins are minor.
