Question Regarding Deceased Souls
As we are told that the deceased are put to sleep in Barzakh till day of judgement but than they must be getting up to meet and inquire about their family members with new souls who enter Barzakh.
I heard from another scholar that when people visit the graves, the buried person knows who came and hears them when they talk. I know Dr Ghamidi has talked a lot about all this which I have been listening too now a days to get some comfort but it gets more confusing and disturbing. May be we don’t have all the answers and just trying to come up with. Please advice@irfan76

We learn primarily from the Qur’an. It states that the people will be awakened on the day of Judgement. It explicitly makes it clear that they are out to sleep, except for Shaheed who are alive and receive their Rizq and those who decided the prophet and they receive punishment in the grave. These alive people may hear the footsteps of the people.
