In a divorce court case, if one party uses false statements to gain an unfair advantage and seeks a judgment that would seriously harm the defendant financially, and if the expected judgment would also conflict with Islamic law, is the defendant Islamically permitted to make a false statement in order to obtain a fair outcome—one that reflects the truth and complies with Islamic principles?

Please answer in terms of why or why not.

It is still unethical to make false statement against a false statement. Two wrongs do not make a right.

However, one one does it save oneself from harm or to get his due right.and doesn’t harm others, it may become a valid excuse to be presented to God in his court of Judgment.
