Is wuzu required for Tawaf to be valid?
Majority of scholars say that it’s required while others say that there is no strong evidence to prove compulsion.

Wudu is required for Tawaf. It came as a sunnah of the Prophet. The evidence is the unanimous practice of the Muslims. However, there is a hadith which equates Tawaf with Salah
«الطواف حول البيت» مثل الصلاة، إلا أنكم تتكلمون فيه ) (ترمذی 960)
Tawaf around the Kaba is like Salah, except that you can talk in it.

Ok. I stand corrected. Wudu is recommended but not farz.

But Dear Sir, I wanted to know the basis of this conclusion since the majority says that wuzu is required for tawaf.

It seems that Ghamidi Sahib did not consider wudu for tawaf to be established by any binding imperative instruction.
