Why Allah Created Something Which He Doesn’t Want In Humans
I have a question about Islamic teachings regarding underarm hair. If Allah created underarm hair naturally in every human being, then what is the wisdom behind the instruction to remove it?
My point is that underarm hair is not a disease, defect, or abnormal growth—it is a natural part of human creation that Allah Himself placed there. If the purpose were only cleanliness and preventing odor, then wouldn’t regular washing and hygiene be sufficient? Why is there a specific recommendation to remove the hair itself rather than simply keep it clean?
I fully accept that Islam encourages cleanliness, but I am trying to understand the wisdom behind this ruling. If Allah does nothing without purpose, then what purpose do underarm hairs serve, and why are Muslims encouraged to remove them?
