Talaq And Rujo
Assalamu Alaikum.
I would like guidance regarding a divorce case.
A husband gave his wife one talaq (first divorce) because of family issues. During the wife’s iddah, he revoked the divorce (ruju’), and the marriage continued.
About one year later, while the wife was 2 months pregnant, the husband gave her a second talaq after a Verbal fight . After this second talaq, no ruju’ took place.
Then, about 4–5 months later, while the wife was still pregnant (around 7–8 months pregnant) and before the child was born, the husband signed three divorce paper same day because he is living in Dubai, UAE and sent to the wife just because he want to get divorce certificate for second marriage. He has fear of her family they can file a case for second marriage without divorce certificate.
And he was separate for 2 years and suffered to meet or talk with his children. Now both families are looking for some way to live together.
My questions are:
Can another talaq take effect during the same pregnancy after a previous talaq has already been given during that pregnancy?
If the wife was still pregnant and in her iddah when the divorce papers were sent, did another talaq take effect?
Based on this sequence of events, how many talaqs are considered to have taken place?
Has the marriage ended completely (final irrevocable divorce), or is there any possibility that the marriage remained valid?
Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
