If a married daughter with no kids passes away, which relatives get share in her inheritance and how much? She has 1 married sister who has a son and a daughter, both parents are alive and husband is also alive.

    Husband: 1/2

    Parents: 1/6 each.

From the rest, the daughter’s share” 1/2

      Thank you for the reply!

I’m confused about the last line if you can please clarify. By 1/2 of the rest to daughter are you referring to the sister of the deceased?

      Will it be:

      1/2 to husband

      1/6 each to parent

      1/2 to sister

      Right. it is “Sister.”

In your case, it should be

    Husband 1/2 from total estate

Mother 1/6 and father 1/3 from leftover

    Sister get remaining leftover…

Also what does ‘from the rest’ means? Where will the remaining 1/2 go?

    This is what I’ve understood:

    50 to husband

    16.67 to mother

    16.67 to father

    8.33 to sister

    8.33 remaining?

I think you didn’t understand my awnser,

1/2 for husband from total estate.

      Now from the remaing estate

      1/3 for father

      1/6 for mother

And remaing will go for sister.

And in some cases where heirs completed and estate remains then you have to apply this remaing leftover according to verse number 8 of sura nisa.

The remaining will go to the nearest male relative, who is supposed to take care of the girls in the absence of the deceased. In this case, it will be the father. However, if there is no one like that, or the father is unable to take care of the family, the remaining amount can be given to the sister.

Farhan Musharraf saheb’s solution is his own, not ours.
