How do scholars reconcile Quran 2:29 with 79:27-30, where critics argue that one passage appears to describe the Earth being created before the heavens while the other appears to describe the heavens being fashioned before the Earth? Additionally, what is meant by the β€œseven heavens” in 67:3 and the β€œseven Earths” in 65:12, and how do these concepts fit with our modern understanding of the universe? Furthermore, verses such as 20:53, 79:30, and 88:20 describe the Earth as being spread out, like a bed or carpet. Why should these descriptions not be understood as supporting a flat-Earth view, especially given that similar imagery was commonly used in ancient cosmologies?

The verse mentions the sky or heaven as it was already there, and after he set the earth, he arranged the skies as seven heavens.

It does not say the sky was created after the earth. See 41: 9-12. The order remains the same.

Seven heavens and seven eath means seveve universes. Ours is one of them.

The earth being spread out means that the earth was made easy to walk on.

The Quran never means to tell scientific information. It uses the common observations of human beings to tell them to appreciate them, to be grateful to God, and accept Him as the sole creator and worthy to be worshipped.
