Mansab E Shahdat

Scholar June 29, 2026 at 4:27 amShahādah means bearing witness, while da’wah means preaching or دعوت. The nations of the Children of Israel (Banī Isrā’īl) and Quraysh witnessed the truth through their direct experience with the prophets who were sent among them. They became witnesses to the truth based on firsthand knowledge. Their descendants continue to bear that witness as part of their inherited religious tradition. Therefore, their da’wah is accompanied by shahādah—a testimony rooted in the historical witness of their forefathers.
For other Muslims, however, da’wah is simply the act of conveying the message. While they do not possess that same inherited historical witness, they base their preaching on the shahādah preserved and transmitted by the descendants of Banī Isrā’īl and Quraysh.

Member June 29, 2026 at 6:43 amSo is dawah conveying God’s message and Shahdah is conveying message plus telling Non Muslims about God’s Divine Judgement which happened 1400 years ago? Also as Ghamidi sir says that dawah is to be done on the basis of one capacity i.e dawah of individuals, dawah of scholars. Can we say the same thing about Shahdah ?

Ghamidi Saheb does not say that; he says that if one opts for it, it can be appreciated. For details, see the chapter, Qanoon e Dawat in his book Meezan.

Scholar July 13, 2026 at 1:35 amHe clearly states that the mansab of Shahadah is the responsibility of Bani Ismael.
However, individuals should become good scholars to warn their people.
