    Dear Ghamdi

Hope my 10 questions will be answered in the same numeric order explicitly not generally .

I have a few sincere questions regarding the events of Karbala and the actions attributed to Yazid. I would appreciate it if you could address these in your next lecture, post, or, if possible, by email.

    1. If Yazid was not responsible for the killing of Imam Hussain (RA), why did he instruct Shimr to take over from Ibn Sa’d if Ibn Sa’d showed mercy or failed to carry out his orders?
    2. Why was Imam Hussain’s blessed head displayed and humiliated in Yazid’s court, and why was his family brought there in that condition? If Yazid respected them, why did this happen?
    3. Why was Imam Hussain’s family imprisoned after Karbala?
    4. If Yazid treated the surviving family with kindness, why did Imam Hussain’s young daughter die in Damascus, and why is her grave still there?
    5. Why did the tragedy of Harrah occur during Yazid’s rule, where Medina was reportedly looted for three days and Masjid al-Nabawi was allegedly desecrated?
    6. Why was the Kaaba attacked with catapults during the siege of Makkah, resulting in damage and fire?
    7. Even if Yazid believed Imam Hussain had to be brought before him, why were the instructions not simply to arrest him and bring him safely? Why was there no clear order stating, “Do not kill him under any circumstances”?
    8. If Yazid was innocent of Imam Hussain’s killing, why did he not immediately punish those responsible?
    9. If he truly respected the Prophet’s family, why were they not released immediately and returned to Medina with full honour and dignity?
    10. If Yazeed was remorseful ( which he was not anyway by his post Karbala action proven ) what actions / measures he undertook ( proven from historical accounts) to compensate the family of Hussain

These questions arise from historical reports that many people find difficult to reconcile with the claim that Yazid bore no responsibility. I would sincerely appreciate your explanation.

    Kind regards,

Hope I’ll not be ignored or answered in general to skip a few questions to be slides away. I regularly listen to Ghamdi sb but I think his historical accounts of Karbala need updating. Anyway let’s hear. I’m a doctor and believe in evidence based discussion. Not general opinion.

    Thanks
