Polygamy
I dont understand why Allah made polygamy permissible.
Though I may understand it from a man’s perspective and his ablity to love more than one woman, how does one justify the pain that his first wife goes through? As capacity doesnt necessarily mean action, like homosexuality, one may desire the same sex but will be rewarded for restraint, and punished for acting on it as it destroys societies. Doesn’t polygamy also destroy a woman’s peace which too consequently has an impact on society, even though my main concern is the wife’s distress.
I have personally never seen a woman who managed to keep her sanity after her husband re married. The depression, rightful jealousy and trauma she goes through is exteremely painful, and Allah who does’t allow even a speck of injustice go unnoticed, how can He allow such an emotional agony without the one causing it being held responsible for it?
