    Salam

After watching the video on using the same oil for halal and haram things, I have a related question.

I often go to a restaurant that serves both halal and non-halal chicken. Most items are fried/cooked completely separately, but a few vegetarian items/halal items are fried in the same oil as non-halal items (like chicken nuggets).

Does hurmat apply in this case? Based on the video, my understanding is that it shouldn’t that makes the food halal in this case. Am I understanding this correctly, or is this purely a matter of ihtiyat (caution) rather than an actual ruling of prohibition?

    JazakAllah Khair.
