I wouldve asked this question years ago but couldnt find it, my qs is that I usually follow an azaan app to check the namaz timings because I live abroad so it has become a habit. I pray on the time it tells without considering whether azaan in my mosque has happened yet or not. Similarly, Zuhr happens at around 1215 but the azan is at 115. I pray at home so is it ok if I pray at 1215 for example? I sometimes cant explain people when they ask why am I praying before azan to avoid arguments. Is it ok?

    Thankyou

Azan is not the announcement of the commencement of prayer time, but a call to congregational prayer. If the time for prayer has entered, you can offer the prayer, whether the Azan has been announced or not.
