Translation of Surah Ash-Shu’ara (26:221-227)
- 221: Shall I inform you of whom the devils actually descend upon?
- 222: They descend upon every sinful liar.
- 223: They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.
- 224: As for poets, they are followed merely by deviants.
- 225: Do you not see how they rant in every field (wander about in every valley)?
- 226: And that they say what they do not do?
- 227: Except those who believe, do good, remember Allah often, and defensively avenge themselves after being wrongfully slandered. The wrongdoers will come to know what evil end they will meet
do these ayah emphasize anything against poetry? or poets?
