    My question is:

    1) If Iblis was expelled from the Paradise on account of his refusal to prostrate before Adam, then how did he misguide Adam in the Paradise? Was he not expelled from the Paradise after refusing to prostrate before Adam?

    2) Secondly, whether Iblis knew beforehand that Adam too would sin and will be sent out of Paradise, since he wanted respite till the day of resurrection, for deviating mankind from the straight path?

    3) Thirdly, what did Iblis want to prove by deviating mankind from the straight path?

Iblis was expelled from the presence of God, wherever that may have been, but he was not expelled from the garden where Adam and Eve were dwelling.

Iblis did not know the future.

He was not trying to prove anything; he simply wanted others to share his curse.

In the tafsir of Surah Araf (7: 13, 18) by Ibn Kathir it is mentioned that Iblis was expelled from the Paradise. Is it then incorrect?

In the second expulsion, when Adam was expelled, it is said that they were all expelled from Paradise. Before that, Iblis was not expelled from the garden.
