Question Regarding The Surah Yasin Verse 37 To 40
Hi,
I have a question regarding the verses of Surah Yasin from 37 to 40. And it is not just these verses it is something which I observed almost all the verses when Allah discussed about the night and day. But this verse is important because here Allah all mighty is pointing towards the sign about the night.
While individual verses in Quranic verses like Surah Yasin (37–40) do not directly contradict modern science, but reading the passage as a whole suggests an empirical, observation-based worldview. The description of day and night appears to be related with the movement of the sun and the whole passage gives you an idea that night and day comes with the sun movement just like a simple observer could have seen.
it appears that it stem from early human observations—such as tracking the sun rising in the east, tracing an arc across the sky, and setting in the west—leading to the deduction that sun move along designated Orbits. Similarly, observing the moon’s repeating phases and visible journey across the sky naturally reinforces the idea of distinct, circular trajectories for both bodies. Consequently, when read as a complete narrative, the text reflects a geocentric, phenomenological perspective based on what an observer experiences on Earth, attributing the cause of day and night directly to the motion of the sun rather than the rotation of the Earth which is contradicting with ESTABLISHED SCIENCE. Moreover the verse that says that Sun and Moon does not catch each other it is also a kind of visible observation while in reality the sun and moon are light years apart and there are lot of planets in between them, although this doesnt seem to be contradicting but to me it seems like that the passage is only based on the common observation not from someone who was created the universe and knows everything. Please help me out ? as this is really bothering me ??

The Quran is not intended to impart scientific knowledge. Its references to natural phenomena serve a different purpose: they invite us to reflect on the world around us and use it as a premise for recognizing that there is only one God, that creation is not without purpose, and that we are ultimately heading toward the Hereafter, where we will be held accountable for our deeds.
For such an argument to be meaningful, the premise should be based on phenomena that are readily observable and recognizable to the intended audience. The natural phenomena described in the Quran remain essentially the same when observed with the naked eye. Their purpose was never to provide detailed scientific explanations or formulations.

Does this mean that we should permanently close that dimension which is opened recently as our age is the age of science to find out the verses that may satisfy or atleast not conflict with modern established science, when Quran was revealed it was age of linguistic but since it valid for every age so i thought since our age is Science this dimension can be opened ????

Every age has its own understanding of science, while the subject matter of the Quran is fundamentally different from that of science. For example, one cannot expect to extract scientific knowledge from a book of judicial law, because such a book never claims to be a work of science. Likewise, the Quran should be understood according to the purpose for which it was revealed, rather than as a scientific textbook.

I watched your entire discussion/podcast. Some points were convincing, while others were not. As you mentioned in the last reply that I agree that the Quran is not a book of science and demanding modern theories or whole process from it would have rendered it irrelevant to every generation from 7th-century Arabia (first audience) to today’s baby boomers and to some what Malaniels. To me, it is the timeless Book of God, offering universal guidance for my parents, my children, and myself across past, present, and future. Coming from a scientific background and living in a technical age, I naturally evaluate information through a logical lens to verify its divine origin. My personal journey began two to three years ago when Stephen Meyer’s Signature in the Cell and my study of DNA/RNA helped me cross my first milestone. For this second phase, my goal is simple find just ten historical, scientific or any facts within the text that were impossible to know in the 7th century and provide clear indication about divine origin (your pearl example is something which I noted down it was unknown to me).
To guide this work responsibly, I first research and do a mind exercise to established three strict principles. First, figurative expressions like “sunrise” are literary, not scientific, so only verses directly pointing (not describing, not explaining) natural principles, human biology, history, or explicit “signs” qualify for evaluation. Second principles, words may only be reinterpreted using meanings present in classical Arabic (Lisan al-Arab) from the Prophet’s era, and if a valid classical definition aligns with modern facts, it is acceptable. Third, we must avoid wild speculation or forced interpretations, focusing strictly on clear references to verifiable facts rather than exhaustive explanations. While I respect scholars like Javed Ahmed Ghamidi who parked their life for this and did study of literature, history and everything for this but doing this kind of work isn’t practical for non-scholars like me who can only spare an hour or two a week. His series Zavia Ghamidi helped me a lot but that is incomplete series. I am conducting this research strictly for myself so that whenever doubt creeps in, reviewing these findings/document reassures me and allows me to move forward. So in this case if you can point me to something, some discussion, some work than that would really be helpful and may be you will be rewarded for guidance for my whole life as it will be with me.
There is one more thing in the end of the podcast you mentioned the people will not get their toys of their own will. VERY HARSH VERY HARSH, people are not looking for toys they are looking for guidance and you dont know how much courage and will needs to start this journey and you are referring it to toys sorry to say but that’s too harsh and something not good

There are some things which you mentioned in the video and I found in my research. I thought worth mentioning you, when you talked about the duality principle that God has created everyone in pairs and he mentioned about some creatures which are asexual I did some research over that there are some creatures like a mexican lizard and some fish and some plants which reproduce on their own but these creatures are not the original creatures as per research till now (someone can correct me) they are formed when specie A and specie B mate. If you traced back their DNAs you will find different chromosomes, that is what I found
