Permissibilty Of Action Figures
Assalamu alaikum Sheikh. I have a question regarding owning and displaying action figures. I collect figures of fictional characters from animated shows, such as Goku from Dragon Ball. These characters are not real people; they are entirely fictional and come from cartoons/anime. I only collect them out of hobby and for photography only
Is it permissible to own these types of figures? And is it permissible to display them openly in my room?
If displaying them is not permissible, would it still be permissible for me to own them as long as I keep them stored away and don’t display them? I’ve added a photo of one of them for reference.
Also, does the ruling differ depending on whether the figure represents a human, an animal, or a completely fictional character?
JazakAllahu khayran.
