Imitating The Other Gender In Acting
hello there i was wondering what the ruling if someone imitate the other gender in acting or simply voiceover( either male doing female voice vice versa or female doing child voice )?
i was able to find these two hadiths on the matter :llah’s Messenger (ﷺ) cursed those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of women and those women who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of men.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمُتَشَبِّهِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِالنِّسَاءِ، وَالْمُتَشَبِّهَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ بِالرِّجَالِ. تَابَعَهُ عَمْرٌو أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ.
and this one :
Narrated AbuHurayrah:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed the man who dressed like a woman and the woman who dressed like a man.
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الرَّجُلَ يَلْبَسُ لِبْسَةَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْمَرْأَةَ تَلْبَسُ لِبْسَةَ الرَّجُلِ .
so i am not sure if it general or specfic because if it even prohibit wearing oppsite gender clothes does it apply to all gender specifc ones, so if possible i would love some explainning or details in matter if it’s alright -

Prohibition or condemnation applies to something that is inherently objectionable. In ordinary life, it may be considered condemnable to deliberately imitate or adopt the appearance or habits of the opposite gender.
However, the case you cited is different. It is a matter of employment, not an attempt to deceive anyone or to live as a member of the opposite gender. The context and intention are therefore fundamentally different.
