Im a female
Yesterday me and my husband had a fight we were normally discussing something and It turned into a fight
And my husband angrily said to me
“Chor do mujhy”
Chor do phr”
And said
Ma sari life single guzar skta hu
I calmed him down and said to him that dont say such things i dont want to leave you. Never say such a thing again.
After the conversation he became normal and forgot the fight and moved on and started acting normal with me but from last night Im in state of doubts
A husband saying to his wife
Chor do mujhy or chor do phr constitutes a divorce?
Ive heard online and many scholars say that these are kinaya words and if internally the husband has intention to divorce when he was saying the words divorce comes into effect
I didn’t asked his intentions should i ask him?

This is not a statement of Talaq. Talaq is effective only when the word “Talaq” is expressly pronounced with the serious intention of divorce. In the case of ambiguous or covert words, the husband’s explanation determines their meaning. If the husband states that he intended divorce by those words, then Talaq will be effective; otherwise, it will not.
