Hindu Woman Accepting Islam After Marriage
Assalamu alaikum. I know someone who is Hindu, married to a Hindu man, with children, and they have a genuinely happy family life. She has recently become convinced that Islam is the truth and wants to accept Islam, but her husband remains Hindu.The situation is extremely difficult because she has no parents or relatives she can realistically go and live with, and she fears that accepting Islam could mean losing her husband, her home, and possibly even being separated from her children. She doesn’t want to abandon her family, but at the same time she feels she cannot reject what she believes is the truth.What would Islam require her to do in such a situation? What happens to the marriage, the children, custody and their upbringing? is there any provision for such circumstances where separation could leave the woman completely alone and potentially unable to see her children?
