  • “Is Morality Divine Or A Human Construct?”

Is morality created by God, or is it something humans created themselves? A well-known biologist has argued in his book that humans developed morality themselves, and that, over time, these moral tendencies became deeply rooted in our biology and were eventually passed down through generations.
Some thinkers have also argued that humans created morality as a way of controlling and regulating other members of society.

    One question:

Lets assume a fictional state and call it “Maalapur” that is a member of an organization of “Maalic” states

So all the Maalic states combined have a self sustaining system in which everything they consume, they produce through domestic production and interorganizational trade.

Their armies are the strongest armies on all of Earth and when together they form THE strongest group of countries on Earth.

They don’t need anybody else but can subjugate everybody else.

All definitions of morality that consider humanly BENEFIT the source of morality fail in this case.

Because, for Maalic states enslaving/exploiting anybody/any group that is not Maalic is perfectly moral. Not only moral, it would be an appreciable act. Why because it is beneficial for the Maalic people as whole and it bears no negative consequences.

On the flip side, when you assume a god, this very act becomes immoral right away

If morality originates from an absolute, divine law embedded in human nature by God, how do we account for the fact that moral values change so drastically across different societies and eras ?Furthermore, if a human child is raised entirely by animals in isolation from human society, they display no inherent moral sense or conscience at all—proving that morality is absorbed through social training.Given that evolutionary psychology also explains our conscience as a biological adaptation for group survival, does attributing morality to a Divine God not become logically and scientifically unnecessary
