  • The Mystery Of Suffering

Islam places a high value on human life and generally prohibits killing an innocent person without a valid justification. But animals can also experience pain, fear, and suffering. So why does Islam permit humans to kill and eat animals? What is the moral difference between killing a human and killing an animal, if both are capable of experiencing suffering?

Animals meet their death anyway. God has allowed in nature that certain animals may be killed by other animals for food. The same is allowed by God in His Shariah. In this way, they serve a purpose.

Everyone will get a reward for their suffereing from God.

When god allowed human beings to kill other human beings, the resulting suffering didn’t matter for Muslims.

    See Badr, Fatah-e-Makkah etc.

Similarly, god has made killing of halal animals permissible as result their suffering shouldn’t matter for us as Allah, their creator has allowed it.
