Where I live, many people have opened PS game rental businesses—from PS4 to PS5. The way it works is that people come to our place, and we provide a PS console and games for them to play. They pay based on how long they play—that’s basically how this game rental business works. And of course, all the games are legit—not pirated

In the past few days, there’s been a commotion claiming that this game rental business is haram. This is because there’s an international policy from PlayStation stating that we’re not allowed to rent out their games for play. Since, in our business, people are indirectly paying to play games that we’ve purchased, it could be argued that we’re violating PlayStation’s rules.

Does violating PlayStation’s rules mean we’re infringing on their rights, and does that make our business haram?
