Weaponization Of Tanseekh-e-nikkah
Given Mr. Ghamidi was first to propose “tanseekh-e-nikkah” as a means to provide relief to woman stuck in oppressive marriages.
My question is the following:
What are his proposed guardrails in the event that the woman uses tanseekh-e-nikkah to blackmail the man by threatening to break his family and take his children away from him? I mean these cases can arise when there is a big disagreement (which is extremely common according to Ghamidi himself) and the woman refuses to back down
Mind you
If a man does the same thing, he has to bear the financial responsibility of the woman?

There are incidents reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in which he annulled a marriage at a woman’s request.
Exploitation can be committed by either men or women. Therefore, courts should examine all the circumstances before making a decision.
Ultimately, those who exploit others should fear God and remember their accountability before Him.

Understood, ultimately its up to the society to foster a conducive environment.
Why not make it legally 50-50 like in the west. Then if anybody wants Islamic marriage they can do it unofficially. That way you take the roses without the thorns
