Ghusal And Wudu
Posted by Zuhair on July 27, 2020 at 4:44 pmWhat’s the difference between taking a shower and ghusl? And if you have showered then wudu is not needed right?

Once that has been done, there is no need for separate wudu.

Contributor December 5, 2020 at 6:33 pmWhat is the evidence that wudu would be done if you just do a normal shower with the intention of wudu?

Contributor December 5, 2020 at 6:40 pmOh that makes sense. Because the ayah doesn’t say ‘when you rise to prayer … or if you are ceremonially unclean bathe and do wudu’ it just says bathe and then I guess pray

If Ghusal is still in progress, it can make up for that. Or else, one can repeat from wuzu again if doing according to uswa of Prophet (sws).

What is the reason for this though. The Quran doesn’t seem to touch on this specific matter. Is it just ijtihaad?
