Baptism is just is a ceremonial thing. We do not find it to be sanctioned by prophet Muhammad SAW, hence it can’t be considered as a sunnah.

Isn’t it the tradition of bani Israel to anoint their prophets with oil or from their holy river?

There are different ways of baptism amongst Jews and Christians and even among early Christianity different ways of this ceremonial practice can be found.
