In short, Ijma and quoli Tawatur of Muslims, generation after generation.

I have read the referred article which contains insufficient material as regard of variant readings. First and foremost, it is historically evident now that the Sana manuscripts and mushaf e usmani are different. Another thing is two main versions are being published by Shah Fahad Quran Complex Hafs and Warsh considering the both authentic. There are 52 variant words in Hafs viz a viz Warsh. No. Of total verses are still disputed among the Muslims. So it is not easy to escape from the factual position just saying Imam Shafi said this and Imam Malik said that. This is the World of Science and technology where physical and unequivocally evidence and proof are required. Last but not the least, how it is possible that through tawatar and ijma Quran reached us but the interpretation of some verses of surah qayamat only unveil to Hamid ud Din Farahi? Rest of the earlier were ignorant from the exact meaning. And there is a narration of the holy prophet SAW for the authenticity of seven recitations.

If you really want to dig deeper into the issue, I would request you to spend some time in reading both the articles posted above completely and watch the videos posted at the end of both threads.

If you want to go straight down to the videos then I would recommend you to watch the following whole series based on 20 years of research of Dr. Shehzad Saleem, after that, if you have any further questions, you can freely ask them here. The playlist can be accessed at:

As far as the seven recitations mentioned in Hadith, the words used in Hadith are not recitation (Qirat). No Hadith contains those words in it, some jurists/scholars did however misconstrue the word ‘Saba Ahraf’ in the meaning of Qirat (recitation).

Dr. Shehzad Saleem has also written a very detailed book about this subject after two decades of research:

A summary of this book is also available:
